Deadline Approaching for Basketball Camp Discount

With the June 1 discount deadline to enroll in summer basketball camps approaching, Bridgewater-Raritan High School basketball coach Gene McAteer said time is running out to get $10 off costs.

Campers enrolling before June 1 will receive $10 off. This does not apply to the “Shooting School” from July 1 through July 3, McAteer said.

For one of the sessions, July 29 through Aug. 2, McAteer said Ridge High School coach Brian Feath will be the special guest speaker. Feath was recently named 2013 NJ State Basketball Coach of the Year by the Star Ledger.

During the July 8 through July 12 week, McAteer said, former Bridgewater coach Tim Ortelli will be appearing. Ortelli currently works with the Rutgers Prep team.

Most important, McAteer said, is the news that the camp is offering a healthy lunch through its Healthy Camp Lunch Program this year.

“Our camp has agreed to use Catering Solutions of Raritan as another lunch option,” he said. “In the past, campers would either bring their own lunch or buy pizza slices.”

“Our camp will still sell drinks and a variety of snacks, as well as the pizza each day,” he added.

McAteer said there are still spaces open for all sessions of camp.
