Patriots to Offer Complimentary Tickets

The tickets are being offered as part of its Hurricane Relief Night Saturday.

As Bridgewater and surrounding towns continue to deal with the aftermath of Hurricane Irene, the Somerset Patriots are looking to give residents an escape with its Hurricane Relief Night Saturday and complimentary tickets.

According to a release from the Patriots, fans will receive complimentary tickets to the game at on a first come, first served basis for that evening.

"This is our opportunity to bring some joy back to those affected by the hurricane and flooding in the area," said Steve Kalafer, chairman of the Somerset Patriots Baseball Club, in the release. "We are fortunate to be able to provide this service to those that are still dealing with the aftermath of the storm. Our hearts go out to all those still trying to get their lives back to normal during this time."

In addition to Saturday's game—which begins at 7:05 p.m., and is against the Long Island Ducks—the Patriots will be hosting a Hunger Action Night Monday to benefit the Community FoodBank of New Jersey.

Those attending that game are asked to bring a canned non-perishable food item to the game, the release said. Items requested include canned fish, canned meat, powdered milk, infant formula milks, boxed meals, canned packaged meals, peanut butter, canned vegetables and canned fruit.
