We've got your list of end-of-summer events in town.

The summer is about half over, and that means we’re getting ready to start thinking about back-to-school. And as we do that, there are plenty of end-of-the-summer events to keep us enjoying our time off, while also preparing for the year ahead.

We got a list of several local events that, although they are designed to reflect the end of the summer, are still a great way to spend the remaining few weeks.

  • Library Carnival—The will be playing host to the annual summer carnival Aug. 16 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The afternoon will be filled with games, prizes and activities for all children.
  • Four Tops Tribute—The Somerset County Park Commission Summer Concert Series will wrap up Aug. 26 at with “Standing in the Shadows: A Four Tops Tribute” at 7 p.m. The show, featuring group originator Dave Revels of the Drifters, has musicians who have worked with other legends over the years.
