JCC, On the Court Holding Specialty Basketball Camp

The camp is offered for three weeks during the summer.

On The Court, in collaboration with the Shimon and Sara Birnbaum Jewish Community Center, is offering a specialty basketball camp for the summer.

On The Court, which is located in Bridgewater, provides on-site after school enrichment programs, and has been working with the JCC for the past two years to offer three weeks of basketball camp each summer.

The camp, according to a release from On The Court, runs alongside Camp Ruach and other similar JCC summer programs.

The basketball camp itself is held inside the JCC’s air conditioned gym.

Each week of the camp, the release said, has a focus on real world basketball activities, fun competitions and skill building sessions.

Throughout the three weeks, campers will learn shooting, dribbling, passing and teamwork, while improving physical fitness and developing sportsmanship.

Players, the release said, work within their age groups, and each week focuses on a specific basketball specialty, in addition to other skills.

Players at the camp receive a special t-shirt on the first day, with prizes awarded on the last camp day each session.

From June 24 to June 28, camp will focus on offensive improvement, and from July 29 to Aug. 2, there will be a focus on skill development.

From Aug. 26 to Aug. 30, camp will focus on specialized shooting.

According to the release, players can attend in the morning from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., in the afternoon from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. or for a full day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
