No Reason to Stay in on July 4

There are still plenty of things to do throughout Bridgewater.

It’s July 4, a national holiday, which means most people are off from work, schools are out for the summer—but that doesn’t mean there aren’t things to do around town.

Here is a list of things to do while you're celebrating the Fourth of July.

  • Do a Little Shopping—The will be open most of the day, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. So why not celebrate the holiday with some great July 4 deals?
  • Check out a Movie—Take the whole family for a little meal and movie at on Commons Way at the mall, a chance to get a little entertainment.
  • Try a Little Exercise—In the mood to start a new tradition for yourself? Head over to for one of their many spin classes, and start a new regimen!
  • Maybe a Swim Lesson—The will be continuing to hold swim lessons at the center throughout the summer. Head on over for some lessons!
  • Do a Little Reading—, on Route 202/206 at the Somerville Circle, will be open on the holiday, so why not head over and pick up your next bit of beach reading.
  • Enjoy the 4th—Of course the most important thing to do is go to North Branch Park for the Somerset County Park Commission’s annual festival, complete with music, fireworks, reenactments and much more, beginning at 5 p.m.
