BRHS Junior Wins Reader Award

Julia Meier was named one of three New Jersey Enthusiastic Readers.

Julia Meier, a junior at Bridgewater-Raritan High School, has been selected as one of three high school students in the state as the New Jersey Enthusiastic Reader for the central Jersey region.

Meier was selected by the New Jersey Association of School Libraries, and was honored at a ceremony Saturday in Mercerville, along with her parents, the nominating teachers and librarians and other nominees throughout the state.

Meier's nomination encapsulated her dedication both to the high school library and the Somerset County Library where she works after school. At BRHS, she visits the library to talk about young adult fiction, interesting non-fiction books and volunteer to help with special projects.
