The Bridgewater Township Police Department works to protect and serve all people under its jurisdiction, and to reduce crime in the township. The department has several different resources to aid residents in reducing crime and include its Amber Alert Wireless Text Message Registry, Burglar Alarm Registrations, ID Thefts and Computer Crimes Information and more.
The department has been in existence for about 43 years, with a current staff of 78 sworn officers. Police Chief Richard Borden encourages community feedback and assistance.
