The Finderne First Aid and Rescue Squad was opened in 1965, and has 20 volunteer professionals, ranging in experience and specialization from drivers to EMTs to cadets. The squad covers about 10 square miles and 10,000 total residents. Squad members, who are all volunteers, share the responsibilities, helping out during the week as often as possible. Volunteers are always accepted.

The squad is a nonprofit organization and receives funds from Finderne residents as well as other visitors. Membership in the organization includes free training and free use of the hall.
