Students at Hamilton Primary School have many opportunities to participate in different classes and events for a range of learning experiences. Students have the opportunity to participate in student council, student energy efficiency patrol and PTO-sponsored classes. Students work in literary-enrichment and genre activities. The School and PTO also sponsor author visits, art displays, natural environment work and the maintenance of school gardens for the Nature Trail.

The Hamilton Afterschool Program is held at the Hamilton School for children grades K through 4. The program uses school facilities including the gym and playground. Children participate in arts and crafts, music and games; they also do homework. All staff are CPR and first aid certified.
