Specialized Water Interest Movement (S.W.I.M.) is a free program that provides recreational therapy for adults dealing with a muscular impairment. The exercise program can relieve physical and muscular discomfort.

The organization holds an annual fundraiser, subsisting on that and donations from individuals, corporations and other organizations. It is a nonprofit organization that does not receive government funding.

Those looking to become involved in the organization can be swimmers; volunteers who assist in the water, dressing rooms or serve refreshments; or be friends, providing encouragement or financial support.

The office are housed in the Finderne Avenue building, but swimming is held at the Somerset Valley YMCA in Bridgewater, at 601 Garretson Road.
