Man Guilty in High-Speed Chase That Hurt Woman
New York City resident led police on pursuit down Main Street after being caught with stolen truck.
A New York City man was found guilty Wednesday of assault charges in a Somerset County Courthouse after being arrested in 2010 following a high-speed chase that injured a woman. Julio Rivera, 36, was found guilty of second-degree eluding and second-degree aggravated assault during the course of eluding police. According to Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey Soriano, the incident occurred around 4 p.m. March 21, 2010, after police responded to the Bridgewater Promenade because of a report that a previously stolen pick-up truck and trailer were seen in the parking lot.
