A Bound Brook woman was sentenced to seven years of prison on Thursday for setting a 2011 fire that injured multiple people at a two-family home, Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey D. Soriano Said. Yanilda Rosario, 40, had pleaded guilty on Aug. 3 to charges of six counts of aggravated arson and one count of aggravated assault. In exchange for the plea, the prosecution recommended that she serve seven years in state prison with 85 percent of the term to be served without parole in accordance with the No Early Release Act. Judge Julie M. Marino sentenced Rosario in accordance with the plea agreement. Two Somerset County men have been indicted on arson charges in connection with a fire they allegedly set in a vacant house on Thompson Avenue May 2, according to an article in the Messenger Gazette. Lance Chillemi, 24, of Bridgewater, and James Gavazzi, 24, of North Plainfield, were charged May 2 with arson after police responded to the fire in the early hours of May 2. According to the article, court documents filed at the Somerset County Court House report that both men have been indicted on charges of aggravated arson and burglary, while Chillemi has also been indicted on charges of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest. A Bridgewater man was charged with aggravated arson and assaulting a police officer Wednesday in connection with a fire he allegedly intentionally set with another male in a house on Thompson Avenue early Wednesday morning. Lance Chillemi, 24, of Bridgewater, was charged with aggravated arson, aggravated assault on a police officer, resisting arrest and criminal mischief. James Gavazzi, 24, of North Plainfield, was charged with aggravated arson in the incident.
