A total of three seats will be up for election in the 2012 Bridgewater-Raritan Board of Education elections. This is the first time the elections will be held in November, after the board of education voted to move them from April. Eight people are running for the three positions, with three of them being the incumbents. Incumbent Daniel Petrozelli was chosen to be on the board in November 2011, replacing a position formerly held by Anda Cytroen, and he will run to have his term. The other incumbents are Patrick Breslin and Cynthia Cullen. Patch asked the candidates to answer questions about their education, work experience and previous political experience. Two seats are up for election in the 2012 Somerset County Board of Chosen Freeholders race. Four people are running for the two positions, two Republican incumbents and two Democrats. Incumbent Mark Caliguire was chosen earlier this year to replace Jack Ciattarelli, who was elected to the state assembly in the 2011 elections. Caliguire is running to continue his term.
