A Mahwah family may have found the secret weapon behind the NY Giants’ Super Bowl victory – crumb cake made at Lotito’s Deli in Ramsey. And now, the cake might be helping to catapult the Mahwah High School Thunderbirds toward their first state championship in over 30 years. Known as the “Crumb Cake of Champions,” the sweet treat was originally handed out to the Giants players and coaches as a ‘thank you’ from the Accurso family, whose son, 9-year-old Vinny, suffers from pulmonary hypertension, a life-threatening lung disorder. After hearing about Vin’s condition, Coach Tom Coughlin invited the family to a Giants practice last season. They brought the crumb cake as a present for the team. Giants quarterback celebrates store's grand opening in Bridgewater.
New York Giants star Eli Manning joined in the celebration of the new Microsoft Store at the Bridgewater Commons Mall Sunday, spending several hours playing Kinect with fans. People lined up through the mall to get an opportunity to play against the quarterback, and get their pictures taken with the Super Bowl champion. This event was part of a grand opening celebration for the store that included a concert by Grammy nominated OneRepublic Saturday.

The Microsoft Store's grand opening started with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday morning, when Microsoft corporate vice president Kathleen Hogan performed the cutting and presented a $1 million check to a local chapter of Junior Achievement for software grants. The store officially opened at 10 a.m., and the celebration is scheduled to last throughout Saturday, culminating in a 7 p.m. performance by Grammy-Award nominated band One Republic on Saturday night. On Sunday, at 11 a.m., the festivities continue when customers are given a chance to play Kinect with Super Bowl champion Eli Manning of the New York Giants.

The Bridgewater Commons Mall is abuzz with the impending arrival of the Microsoft Store, which will be holding its grand opening event on May 19 at 9:30 a.m. The store is planning for weekend-long event to celebrate its opening in Bridgewater. The weekend's events will be highlighted with an appearance by two-time New York Giants Super Bowl-winning quarterback Eli Manning on Sunday, May 20th, who will be on-hand to play Kinect for Xbox 360, one of Microsoft's flagship devices, with members of the community. INDIANAPOLIS – The crowd was eerily quiet as Eli Manning and the Giants took over for one last drive in the final four minutes of Super Bowl XLVI.
