Patrick Lott, assistant principal at Bernardsville Middle School prior to his arrest in December 2011, pleaded guilty Wednesday to videotaping boys in the showers at Immaculata High School where he was a volunteer basketball coach. Lott, appearing in the afternoon before Superior Court Judge Julie Marino, agreed to a six-year prison sentence as part of a plea agreement with the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office. He also agreed to forfeit his state educator’s certificates and will be subject to the terms of Megan’s Law, requiring the registration of sex offenders. James Wronko, Lott’s attorney, said his client agreed to the deal because he wanted to spare the victims, the Immaculata school community, and his family the ordeal of going …

@Kenneth: While it doesn't look good for Lott, I never said he was guilty or innocent. I cited a very well-known tenet of law. Although the Constitution of the United States does not cite it explicitly, presumption of innocence is widely held to follow from the 5th, 6th, and 14th amendments. See also Coffin v. United States and In re Winship. (borrowed from Wikipedia or read more here: http://www…   more ›

Cullinan Enjoying Career Year for Moravian

Bridgewater native Jeff Cullinan is one of the more improved players to come through Moravian College's program.

Moravian College men’s basketball coach Jim Walker has been the program’s coach for 32 years, and there is no doubt that Bridgewater native, and Immaculata High School graduate, now senior Jeff Cullinan is one of the more improved players to come through the program under Walker’s tenure. Cullinan, a business management major, is starting consistently for the first time in his career. Through the team’s first nine games—Moravian is 3-6 on the season—Cullinan is averaging 8.1 points a game and 4.8 rebounds a game. Both are career highs, and prior to this season, Cullinan started a total of five games in career. “He has gone from a bench player as a freshman to a role player as a sophomore and junior, and now a senior starter,” Walker said…
