Bridgewater Physicians On 'Top Docs' List

New Jersey Monthly publishes annual list, featuring 839 doctors selected by their peers.

Three Bridgewater doctors were included on New Jersey Monthly's 2012 list of "New Jersey's Top Doctors."  The magazine polled 22,780 New Jersey doctors and asked them who they considered the state's best. Bridgewater doctors included on the list of 839 are:

Principal Says BRHS is 'Outstanding,' 'Effective'

BRHS principal Brett Charleston reacts to the NJ Monthly rankings.

For Bridgewater-Raritan High School principal Brett Charleston, he believes the school is "outstanding" and "effective." This, Charleston said, is despite the recently released statistics from NJ Monthly, that places BRHS at No. 113 on its list of the top high schools in the state, out of more than 300—and the school is down from No. 67 when the survey was last released in 2010. "This is an outstanding high school, and please note that I have worked at other schools that were ranked higher (West Windsor Plainsboro) and lower (Egg Harbor Township), with very effective educational programs, a quality teaching staff and, perhaps most importantly, supportive parents and community," he said. BRHS Ranked No. 113 in State

It drops 46 spots from its ranking in 2010, according to NJ Monthly.

NJ Monthly has released its biennial list of the top high schools in New Jersey—and Bridgewater-Raritan High School has made a significant drop from the last list released in 2010. According to the list, BRHS currently ranks at No. 113 out of 328 schools, having dropped from No. 67 in 2010. NJ Monthly bases its rankings on a four-year adjusted cohort graduation rate, which was mandated by the federal government. It has also increased the weighing of data on test results. BRHS is listed as having 695 students in the 2012 graduating class, with an average class size of 24.1, and student-faculty ratio of 11.0. The average combined SAT score in the school was 1666, and 37 percent achieved advanced proficiency in the language arts section of …
