Patrol to Launch Shuttles at North Branch Park

The Civil Air Patrol will be saluting the NASA Space Shuttles.

Sometimes there's just not enough days in the week, but every Wednesday we'll give you an idea of something to do to relax, spend time with family and just take some time for yourself. And this weekend's event is completely out of this world. The Civil Air Patrol will be saluting the Space Shuttle with a special event at North Branch Park Saturday, as the members take shuttles they have built to model those created by NASA and launch them, all in one day. The program will begin with the first launch at 10 a.m. as members of the Lone Eagle and Curtiss Wright Composite Squadrons launch five replica Space Shuttle model rockets a total of 135 times for each of the 135 actual shuttle launches. Dog Show, 'Cake Boss' Descend on North Branch

The North Branch Cluster is returning after a cancellation in 2011 due to hurricane.

Sometimes there's just not enough days in the week, but every Wednesday we'll give you an idea of something to do to relax, spend time with family and just take some time for yourself. And after being cancelled in 2011 because of Hurricane Irene, the North Branch Cluster dog shows are back at North Branch Park, and being held Thursday through Sunday. As part of the show, the Somerset Hills Kennel Club will be holding its 78th all-breed show from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, among sporting, hound and non-sporting group shows, as well as all-breed shows, all throughout the weekend. “We were extremely disappointed for all the exhibitors and participating clubs not to mention the spectators who had worked and planned for last year’s show," said …

4-H Fair Brings Communities, Organizations Together

Annual event showcases area businesses, provides fun and entertainment to all ages.

The Somerset County 4-H Fair offers a myriad of activities, animals, shows and fun, and all for free. The fair has been held since Wednesday at North Branch Park. Friday is the the event's last day and wil be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

County's 4th of July Celebration Ends With a Bang

Music and entertainment lead up to annual fireworks display at Bridgewater's North Branch Park.

It was a night full of music, food, various entertainment and fireworks Wednesday for Somerset County's Fourth of July celebration at Bridgewater's North Branch Park.

July 4th Featuring Music, Games, Fireworks

The county is holding its annual July 4 celebration.

Somerset County is celebrating America's independence with a grand celebration that will include music, re-enactments and lots of fireworks. The celebration will be held at North Branch Park from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesday. Performances will be given by Wallstreet and Smooth. Wallstreet will play its own original songs, in addition to soul tunes, while Smooth will be playing the Motown songs of the Temptations, Four Tops and Smokey Robinson. In addition to the music, there will be children's activities, like a moonbounce, and historical re-enactments about colonial times. County 4-H Fair Features Attractions, Fun on Day 2

North Branch Park drew another great crowd as the fair kicked into high gear in the evening.

Day 2 of the of the Somerset County 4-H Fair at North Branch Park in Bridgewater featured some great attractions and fun for the entire family Thursday. In the evening, the fair kicked into high gear as residents of all ages enjoyed live music, tasty treats, and a host of exhibits.
