Car Overturned in Steep Woods Off Route 22

One person extricated himself and a dog from the vehicle.

A motor vehicle was found overturned deep in the woods in the area of Gaston Avenue and Adamsville Road Tuesday afternoon. According to North Branch Fire Chief David Hickson, the Green Knoll Fire Department and the North Branch Fire Department were dispatched around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday on the report of an overturned motor vehicle. "A single motor vehicle was found upside down deep into the woods," he said. Hickson said one person had extricated himself and a dog from the vehicle, but did sustain injuries in the accident, and he was taken from the scene by the Somerset Mobile Intensive Care Unit.
