About 20 students achieved the honors this year.
The Bridgewater-Raritan Pop Warner team recently named its 2012-13 All-American Scholars, with 20 students achieving the honors. Each year, according to a release from the organization, Pop Warner students compete for Academic All-American status, with a minimum of a 96 percent grade point average required. From there, Pop Warner determines National First Team All-Americans, National Second Team All-Americans and National Honorable Mention Scholars. The mission of the Bridgewater-Raritan organization is to help students benefit from participation in team sports and other activities. The scholars are as follows:

The Bridgewater-Raritan Junior Pee Wee, Pee Wee and Midgets competitive cheer squads participated in the National Cheer and Dance Championships at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando Dec. 3 through Dec. 8. The Junior Pee Wee squad brought home the second place trophy in the Large Intermediate category, while the Pee Wee team brought home the third place trophy in the Small Novice category. The Midget team, competing for its sixth consecutive year, brought home the second place trophy in the Small Advanced category. All teams competed against the qualifying teams from across the nation and truly showed their spirit and talent to receive these awards.
