Golf Fundraiser to be Held at Trump National

It will benefit the New Jersey Education Foundation Partnership.

The Trump National Golf Club will play host to the First Annual Toby Tyler Golf Invitational to benefit the New Jersey Education Foundation Partnership. The event is being sponsored by Simplicity Title, of Bridgewater, and will be held May 7. The committee for the event has secured sponsorships and other opportunities to get the event off the ground. “The Toby Tyler Golf Invitational committee has secured major sponsorships, prize contributions and players from RE/MAX of New Jersey, Investors Savings Bank and The Somerset Patriots baseball team,” said Luke Tyler, CEO of Simplicity Title, in a release about the event. “We also have many of the community business leaders playing in this fun golf tournament.” The New Jersey Education …

Manhunt Will Not Result in Charges in Somerset County

The case is being handled by Hunterdon authorities.

The Somerset County Prosecutor's Office is not filing charges against a 29-year-old man who was taken into custody after fleeing the scene of an accident on Route 78 Wednesday. Jack Bennett, with the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office, said the case is being completely handled by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office and the New Jersey State Police. State Police did not have additional information on the case as of Thursday afternoon. Daryl Haluszczak, of Flemington, was charged Wednesday with unlawful possession of weapons and possession of weapons for an unlawful purpose after he allegedly took weapons from a Hunterdon County house. Armed Man Flees Crash, Caught After Manhunt, Prosecutor Says

29-year-old Flemington resident apprehended following search near Trump National Golf Club.

An armed 29-year-old Flemington man was apprehended Wednesday morning after taking weapons from a Hunterdon County home, crashing his vehicle on Interstate 78 and leading authorities on a manhunt near Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, officials said. Daryl Haluszczak has been charged by the Hunterdon County Prosecutor's Office with unlawful possession of weapons and possession of weapons for an unlawful purpose. Additional charges may be filed by the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office. According to a statement released Wednesday afternoon by Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony Kearns III, Haluszczak took weapons from a Readington Township home he was house-sitting while the residents were on vacation. Cops: Harassing Golf Course Workers Part of Man's Spree

Morris County resident has had several brushes with the law in the past month, including allegations that he harassed golf course workers, stole a truck and wielding an ax in a fast food restaurant.

The Morris County man who allegedly struck and killed the valedictorian of the Paramus High Class of 2010 on Saturday has been in trouble with police several times in the past month, including allegedly harassing employees of a Bedminster golf course and one incident in which he is accused of demanding food at a McDonald's while holding an ax. Philip Cise, 48, of Dover, was back on the road one day after striking Gabrielle Reuveni, 20, while she jogged Saturday near her family’s Poconos vacation home. The following day, police said, Cise plowed another vehicle into a utility pole in Lake Hiawatha. Cise was uninjured and officers discovered he had an arrest warrant for allegedly harassing employees at the Trump National Golf Club in …
