Smell was found to be from an outside meter.
PSE&G was dispatched to make repairs on an outside meter after a police officer reported an odor of gas on Stryker Court Friday morning. According to North Branch Fire Chief David Hickson, a Bridgewater police officer detected a strong smell of gas on the road around 9 a.m. "Upon arrival of Green Knoll engine 34-101, gas was detected at an outside meter, and PSE&G was dispatched to contain the leak and make repairs," he said. Hickson said the fire company investigated the house where the odor was present and found no issues inside. "The gas odor was outside at the meter," he said. PSE&G was expected to respond to the scene to make the repairs by late morning.
