Microsoft Hosting Day of Support

It is being done to honor the armed forces through the American Red Cross.

The American Red Cross and Microsoft are teaming up to invite residents to write messages of appreciation to members of the Armed Forces during “Show Your Support Day,” to be held at the store in the Bridgewater Commons Mall. The event will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Through Microsoft technology, shoppers will be invited to record messages of appreciation in the store, which will be distributed by the Red Cross to members of the military services overseas. Shoppers can also make cards if they wish. This program is done through the American Red Cross Service to Armed Forces, which allows members of military families to send and receive emergency messages. Microsoft Store Hosting Launch Party

It is for a new game, Gears of War.

If you are excited about the upcoming game Gears of War: Judgment, then the Microsoft Store at Bridgewater Commons Mall wants to celebrate with you. The store will be hosting a midnight launch party March 18 beginning at 10 p.m. Fans, according to a release from the store, will have the opportunity to compete for fun, while also enjoying food, drinks and prizes. At this point, customers can pre-order the game, or pick one up beginning at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday. Plus, the first 50 people in line at the store will receive a special giveaway. Back to School Means New Clothes, Electronics

There are lots of clothing and electronic offerings for back to school.

The school year is about to begin, and with it comes days shopping for new clothes, new electronics and lots more to get students back into the vein of learning and having fun. Digitally, there are many different programs providing opportunities for students as they work on their assignments both in high school and college. According to Nicole Owens—in the community service development department with the Microsoft Store, located in the Bridgewater Commons Mall—Office Home and Student, and Office University, have been extremely popular in the last month. Eli Manning Battles Fans in Video Game at Microsoft

Giants quarterback celebrates store's grand opening in Bridgewater.

New York Giants star Eli Manning joined in the celebration of the new Microsoft Store at the Bridgewater Commons Mall Sunday, spending several hours playing Kinect with fans. People lined up through the mall to get an opportunity to play against the quarterback, and get their pictures taken with the Super Bowl champion. This event was part of a grand opening celebration for the store that included a concert by Grammy nominated OneRepublic Saturday.

OneRepublic Rocks Out for Microsoft Opening

OneRepublic took over the Bridgewater Commons Mall parking lot Saturday to celebrate the opening of the Microsoft Store—and hundreds of people turned out to hear the Grammy-nominated band. The band performed for about an hour, then headed back into the store to sign autographs as many lined up to meet the musicians.

The Somerset Valley YMCA hosted 36 volunteers from Microsoft’s Bridgewater Commons Mall retail store at the Bridgewater Family YMCA branch on May 4. “Our employees are having a great experience. Being actively involved in the community is a key part of how Microsoft Store operates. We are thrilled to be at the Bridgewater Y,” said Nicole D. Owens, community development specialist with the Microsoft Store. This is the first retail location for Microsoft in New Jersey and in the Northeast. The Bridgewater Commons Mall is abuzz with the impending arrival of the Microsoft Store, which will be holding its grand opening event on May 19 at 9:30 a.m. The store is planning for weekend-long event to celebrate its opening in Bridgewater. The weekend's events will be highlighted with an appearance by two-time New York Giants Super Bowl-winning quarterback Eli Manning on Sunday, May 20th, who will be on-hand to play Kinect for Xbox 360, one of Microsoft's flagship devices, with members of the community. Microsoft Store to Open, OneRepublic to Perform

The sign has been out front for a while, and now the opening is coming, with the Microsoft Store scheduled to open in the Bridgewater Commons Mall May 19. And the opening will be marked with fanfare and music, as the ceremonies will feature an evening performance by Grammy nominated band OneRepublic. According to a spokesperson with Microsoft, hundreds of customers will be lining up outside the store for the opening, with a ribbon cutting ceremony beginning at 9:30 a.m., and featuring local dignitaries, a Microsoft Store executive and more. Poll: How About a Microsoft Store in Bridgewater?

It will be opening in the mall soon.

It has been announced that a Microsoft Store will be opening in the Bridgewater Commons Mall in the very near future. Although the exact date of opening has not yet been released, the store will be only the 17th Microsoft Store open in the world. What do you think, Bridgewater?
