You're absolutely correct about the PD. It's feckless.

It's 0.05% not 0.5; at 0.5 most people are comatose.

I'd want to see some very dependable and completely independent verification of that alleged alibi. I know it's hard to believe, but parents do lie for their kids; not often, just every day!

ReplyGet the teenager down the block to cut, trim, and edge your lawn---- if he is reliable--- and it should be no more than $15.00 hour. This is relatively unskilled labor. It is not rocket science. Almost twice the minimum wage rate using his equipment is fair; payment of more than that rate is outrageous.
Better yet, get your own kids to do it for part of their contribution to living in your house.

ReplyActually, currently in many states, a BAC of .05 coupled with documented observed driving impairment (weaving, crossing into other lanes, driving on shoulders, etc., is cause for a DUI conviction.
The point is that driving partially impaired is not a freedom. IF lowering the automatic conviction limit to .05 would cause more people to have a designated driver, and not risk killing other innocent people, and if it were enforced, it wold be a good thing.

ReplyIF, and only IF, the player was completely not guilty, nor responsible for any part of this fight, and was falsely arrested, and has suffered slanderous and libelous actions, then, and only then do he and his family have every right to be compensated. BUT, there's a lot of if's in this whole story since the beginning. It seems like the police and prosecutors have done little correctly in this entire fiasco.
Also, where is the civil litigation for the student from Valley who WAS injured? He didn't get hurt at the hands of the tooth fairy.

ReplyThe + and - grades, if added, must also carry a change in calculation of the numerical GPA or it will have no value. An A is 4.0; an A- is 3.8; a B+ is 3.5; a B is 3.0; and a B- is 2.8; etc.
The last thing this "entitled" generation needs is more self-esteem! They already have too much of that and not enough "self-accountability."

Local elementary teachers who have the same degrees and more years of service already make almost the same wages as the new elementary principal, but for teaching, what 185 days out of a year??!!! Why would they take a position for the about the same pay, and have to work many many more hours and days a year??
The PD and the teacher unions have extorted every once of blood possible out of our taxpayers. The taxpayers need the same union negotiators working now for the teachers and the cops --- to negotiate on behalf of a taxpayers' union!!!
