James Kinney is a Certified Financial Planner(tm) and the owner of Financial Pathway Advisors, LLC, a Bridgewater NJ based financial planning firm.

Financial Pathways helps individuals and families achieve financial security and independence through the practice of comprehensive financial planning. As a CFP(r), James may help clients in areas such as retirement planning, college planning, budgeting and debt management, investment advice, and comprehensive financial planning and advice. The firm also provides ad hoc advice on a variety of financial topics for a simple hourly fee.

James earned his MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University (1990) and an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Drexel University (1984).  In addition to the CFP(r) designation, he has been awarded the designation of Certified College Planning Specialist by the National Institute of Certified College Planners. 

Prior to his career as a financial planner, James experienced entrepreneurial success as the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Shore to Shore Merchandise Identification, a global supplier of barcode tags and trimmings for the apparel industry.

James is a resident of Hillsborough, NJ, along with his wife Laura and four children. The entire family is active in scouting, 4h, and their local church.
