ReplyMore awards for this Clifton cop? ? Isnt he the reason the female officer was shot?
Maybe some more police training instead of awards ? Looks like many of these guys are too fat to fight. Maybe a gym membership - longer parade and less donuts. -

ReplyWow! ZAK - what will they be teaching the kids? Self Esteem, how to resist drugs, peer pressure, stuff like that? what grades will the police force be focusing on? I have a child in 6th grade and talks about other boys and cigarettes - it would be nice to have the police give a program.

ReplyThose poor sewer people have to come in now can clean poopies on the weekend all ime of the night a reg pay? Now you are going to get people who dont clean poopy too well - I will definately tell my kids not to become sewer workers - poor job and poor treatment now - 1% raises - jeesh - its a stinky job for sure!

Reply12 hour days stink!! My friend worked for PSEG for 30 years and lost all his overtime going to a 12 hour day. He was working very hard - 12 hours straight pay -exhausted working 12 hours - Driving a truck,dealing with important wires after 12 hours is not a good idea. Driving a car around for 12 hours is not a good idea either- how could a person look for criminals for 12 hour straight - sounds like a bad idea to me. Its a bad suggestion. Maybe 4 days on with 10 hour days works better for criminal justice people. no one should be in a car for 12 hours especially 2 or 3 days in a row....

ReplyGood time to combine departments - maybe with the county police - Fair Lawn county police - get Glen Rock, Saddle Brook, Elmwood Park, Hawthorne -make them 1 police department. One Chief....One Court....One records room - too much duplication in Bergen County. Kind of silly to have 70 + police chiefs all on power trips making big salaries, raising taxes. Then they can surely get rid of all the wasted fire equipment, ambulances etc... Big duplication and waste...

This sounds good! Zak does this mean the Police will be starting the new school program too? Police and kids together ? I think that is what he called it. I have two children in the system and I know the new Captain said he had a wonderful program starting with police and kids together. It would be great to see some police on our playgrounds with our kids. WHen is that going to happen? Some of the cops could probably use the exercise too! Maybe the program started already and I dont know about it - OK Let me know -
