Michelle Dunlap, Neighbor

Michelle is a three year Somerville resident, having moved to the town after finishing college back in 2007.  One of Bridgewater Patch's videographers, she has a rather eclectic background that includes 3 years of experience creating a video news program, a degree in history, and experience as a teacher.

She began working on local news in high school, where she studied video editing for two years and worked as an anchor and crew for the school's morning announcement program during her senior year.

Michelle attended The College of New Jersey and graduated as part of the Class of 2007.  Although she switched from her original focus on Communications in favor of a degree in History, she remained active in video news, working first as the editor and later as director of the student news program, <i>The Journal</i>.  She also spent three  years of college working as an Audio/Visual Technician for the Radio/TV/Film equipment room, and an Editing Instructor for the Film and Video program within The Governor&#39;s School of the Arts.

Since graduating college Michelle has taught history and worked a variety of retail jobs, including working for Apple and opening two of their retail stores - Willowbrook, NJ and Upper West Side, New York City.  She is currently exploring graduate programs in International Relations, with the hope of beginning study within the next two years.
