The comment was deleted because of the inclusion of profanity, which is against Terms of Service. Don't swear and we have no reason to nuke a comment; we are happy to hear your point of view and thank you for sharing it with our readers of all ages.

ReplyNelson only won to fill the unexpired term seat through the end of this year, so whatever happens his term on the council will end. If there is time tomorrow, I will have to check to see what the deal would be for Carifi.

Mrs. Sylvin is known for taking a personal interest in residents and being helpful and comforting, and that is the idea to which Kayne Young was referring. I've heard the same sentiment from many flood survivors. Also, referring to her as a secretary isn't really accurate. Her duties encompass a much wider range than that.

ReplyPar4: "Media" should be plural, which would make the verb phrase "have declared." "Rest assure" should be "rest assured."

Actually, that is factually inaccurate, Adam, and saying that will not make it true. Everybody does not like the governor. Many people do, even some non-Republicans, that's true. But I hear comments every day come from people who really, really, really dislike him personally and seriously disapprove of him politically—and some are GOP members. But I would hope that everyone, regardless of politics, regardless of whether they like him, wish him good luck on his journey toward health, fitness and longevity. I simply do not understand why the fat jokes go on. People should care about each others' well-being. Anything less is most unkind.

ReplyWait. I am not commenting regarding most of that, as it's for the people to decide. But I have to ask: "9. Flooded out the residents of Lake Hiawatha
"... Are you really blaming the mayor for causing Irene? Wow.
