ReplyI bet most of the swearing is when the calls are made to Banks and credit card companies, cell phone companies, internet service providers, satellite and cable television and medical bill collection companies. And you are hereby given absolute permission to swear during those calls, because the guy you are talking to over in South Asia thinks that all that swearing is terms of endearment.

ReplySingle and no children. I always would jokingly say, you can have a lifestyle or children but you can't have both. I am forever grateful that I was able to be happily married and had the children . Whatever floats your boat. I am of the opinion that there are more important things than early retirement.

Just some of the summer jobs I had, they paid dividends for years and years. Taught me that hard work is its own reward. I have never had to have someone come in and do my house work. Having those skills is a nice thing to have. -

TGG, I hear you loud and clear. Years back my wife and I decided to forego drinking entirely as we saw the damage done to some family members. And we pretty much hold to it. On Saturday night once or twice a year we sit on the deck and sip a glass of wine or a beer and watch the sunset, but never ever get behind the wheel after drinking. My wife can not understand the Friday night line up at Bottle King .

ReplyDo it yourself, the exercise is good for you. 4 bucks of gass and an hour per week. And really isn't it time to stop dumping all these chemicals on to our yards,. I see those little flags saying pesticide treated area and I then see women of child bearing age playing with their children on the grass and I can't help but wonder about things like autism.

ReplyMarket values in New Jersey continue to drop, despite what we are being told . Our foreclosure bubble is only now beginning to wind itself through judicial process, so out market should not see any uptick for 5 years or so. We must get the pig through the python, so to speak. With the market down, the assessments must come down and with that there will be greater number of appeals as people wake up to what is going on. I see some shocked folks with million dollar Vizcaya homes waking up to find that they are now 700K Vizcaya homes, not too shabby at all, but not going to pay tax on that 300K difference.

The full assessment usually comes when the final CO is issued, build out can delay the issuance of a final CO and keep the taxes lower. Maybe the builder delayed the CO because they have been unable to sell in the moribund market. The failure to close permits allows hundreds of places to avoid assessment adjustment, not just new houses. A recently sold home I am familiar with had permits open for 5 years, that is when the place was completely renovated, it became an issue when CO was sought. In most towns they have a tickler system that allows 180 days for the permit to be closed and if not, a stop work is issued and a new permit obtained for additional fee.

Bill, You may be correct, but I was under the impression, perhaps mistakenly that one of the issues was that the operation had spread out over onto Town lands that were acquired with Green Acres funding. I thought I read something on that in the distant past. I will got take a look over the weekend.
