Jeweler's Contest Seeks Local Vet Ready to Propose
One lucky couple will receive a custom-designed engagement ring and party at Roman Jewelers' grand opening.
Flemington-based Roman Jewelers is seeking someone special for its upcoming grand opening of the new store on Commons Way in Bridgewater: a veteran who's already found their someone special.
The company will present a specially-designed engagement ring to a Somerset County veteran willing to propose marriage to a sweetheart at the Dec. 4 grand opening of the store under construction in the space formerly occupied by AAA of New Jersey.
"We're looking to put together a big grand opening event and wanted to help support a local vet in the area," Crystal DeCotiis, coordinator of the event, said. "We'd give that vet a custom designed engagement ring and throw an engagement party for his/her family and friends."
That's a special engagement, so Roman Jewelers wants to make sure to find a special couple. If you are (or know of) a local vet who would like to be entered in the contest, send a note with a little information about the relationship with their significant other and why you want to propose, contact information, and which branch of military served in, to DeCotiis at crystal@mintadv.com and you could be picked.
Two important notes: the deadline for contestants is Sunday—and you have to be prepared to make your proposal at Roman Jeweler's grand opening ribbon-cutting.
